Karim Zidan was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. Having grown up as an avid pro-wrestling fan, the transition to MMA was organic. Aspirations to become a successful journalist led him to the University of Toronto, where he is completing degrees in Political Science and Economic Development. In 2011, his passion for all things MMA led him to create TheFlyingKneeMMA.com as an outlet for aspiring writers to hone their craft.
